China has made no change to its forecast for steel output this year despite a government campaign to cut production by the world's biggest steel industry, a forecast from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Wednesday.

China is expected to produce 620-630 million tons of crude steel this year, Luo said Wednesday.
