More than 2000 Taiwanese-Funded Enterprises in Jiangsu Increased Capital of Over USD10b

Vice director of the Office of Taiwan Affairs of the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province Wang Shaobang introduced on September 16 that from January to June, the province newly approved 527 Taiwanese-funded projects, with contracted Taiwanese investment of USD6.28b and actually Taiwanese capital in place of USD2.23b. As of late June, the province had accumulatively approved more than 21500 Taiwanese-funded projects, with contracted Taiwanese capital of more than USD110b and actually utilized Taiwanese investment of over USD47b, topping the list among the provinces and cities across China.
Wang expressed that the majority of Taiwanese-invested enterprises in the province can operate smoothly, and early Taiwanese-funded enterprises have entered the return period of investment, with increase of capital and production expansion vigorous. Based on incomplete statistics, the province has more than 2000 Taiwanese-funded enterprises to increase investment, with the increase of capital surpassing USD10b.
