A Barbie doll that comes with a necklace set with a genuine 1-carat pink diamond is set to be auctioned at Christie's New York house on October 20, news outlets reported.
The necklace is the creation of jeweler Stefano Canturi, who set the emerald-cut pink colored diamond in a choker-style necklace, surrounded by smaller white diamonds. In total, the custom designed piece of diamond jewelry contains 3 carats of stones arranged in a geometric pattern. Canturi also designed Barbie's dress and shoes.
The special edition doll is expected to fetch between $300,000 and $500,000, and all proceeds from the sale will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
