The Namakwa Diamonds diamond supplier said on Wednesday that its Sales & Trading Division will this month tender over 6,000 carats of diamonds from its kimberlite operations in Lesotho, operated by Storm Mountain Diamonds, and 10,000 carats from its alluvial operations in the Tshikapa Triangle in the DRC.
The diamond tender will take place in Johannesburg on October 13, the company said in a statement.
"We are very optimistic about this first tender of Storm Mountain Diamonds’ production. In general, this Lesotho production meets the commercial demands of today’s market, with superb quality in the 2 to 4 carat range," said Heno Kruger, Head of Sales & Trading.
"The product from our river concessions in the DRC, demonstrates quality that is rarely seen with stones of this type from the region. We are looking forward to exceptional results from this tender, and more to come following our recent diversion of the Kasai River and establishment of a long-term project area in the DRC," the company said.
