China and the US Signed USD5.7b Trade and Investment Contracts

Chinese companies signed 28 contracts worth about USD5.7b with U.S. firms on China-U.S. Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum.
These trade and investment contracts cover electronic products, communication, green energy, auto parts, general machinery and equipments. Relevant person on Chinese side said that the signing of these contracts would benefit the trade balance between China and the US and promote the healthy development of trade and economic ties of the two countries, and it would also help China to adjust the industrial structure and enhance the competitive capacity of enterprises.
Chinese Minister of Commerce Cheng Deming said at the forum that China would welcome more American companies to invest in China and also encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in the US. He pointed out that trade and economic ties is an important part in Sino-US relations, and the two sides should solve the existing problems in the trade through dialogue and cooperation. He appealed the two sides to work more closely and make joint efforts to weather the current economic crisis.
