Precision Surface Finishing and Deburring Technology
The purpose these periodic smposia is to study surface finish and integrity of engineered components particularly those for electronic and optical devices and systems. The papers in this volume illustrate new and advanced surface finishing technologies as well as advances in the understanding of science behind surface finishing, elements necessary to predict, control and optimise practical processes. Topics include:
- Modelling and simulation of super-finish surfacing processes and mechanisms
- Precision and super-precision grinding and finishing techniques for advanced materials
- Advanced techniques/technologies and fundamental studies for enhancing component surface properties and characteristics
- Super-finish surface topography, integrity and characterization
- Advanced deburring techniques and theories
- Advanced abrasives and equipment for surface finishing processes
The bibliographies appended to each article provide a select reveiw of the technical literature related to the topic.
