The annual Victoria's Secret fashion show, which has long ago become one of the year's most prestigious fashion events, had a little extra glitz this year.
Held in the Lexington Armory in New York, Victoria's Secret models traipsed the runway wearing various tantalizing creations, but it was one particular undergarment that was undoubtedly the star of the show.
The lingerie's star of the night was the $2 million "Bombshell Fantasy Bra" worn by Brazilian model Adriana Lima.
The bra was covered with 60 carats of diamonds and 82 carats of sapphires and topaz stones with a pattern meant to evoke a swirling constellation.
Overall, the Bombshell Fantasy Bra featured more than 3000 brilliant cut white diamonds, light blue sapphires and oval-shaped topazes, all set in 18 karat white gold.
Victoria's Secret teams with Damiani Jewelers to create the sparkling creation.
"You know, it's a very special piece, and the kind of person that would eventually buy it is not that easy to find," Sylvia Damiani, Vice President of Damiani Jewelers said. "I was thinking that the right person for it would be like a singer, a stage person. I see it more as a kind of piece that is something that you wear when you are a performer. Like Lady Gaga, or Katy Perry!"
