Steve Crutchfield had a particularly successful vacation in Arkansas this weekend - he dug up a 2.44-carat brown diamond at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, ABC affiliate KSPR reported.
According to park officials, the diamond is brandy-colored and about the size of a piece of Chicklet gum, with a flat marquis shape and a frozen metallic shine.
Crutchfield had been wet-sifting material at the Eastern part of the park when he discovered the diamond. He then brought it to the Diamond Discovery Center in a vial for certification by park staff.
Crutchfield did not say what he was going to do with the gem.
