Alrosa Reports Diamond Sales of $2.788B for Jan-Sept 2010

Alrosa Group, the largest producer of rough diamonds in the world, has reported $2.788 billion in sales for the first nine months of 2010, with rough diamonds comprising $2.677 billion of total sales.
The Group held an Executive Committee meeting in the Republic of Sakha on Friday, at which it released its numbers for January-September. Alrosa's diamond mining companies produced $1.706 billion worth of rough diamonds, with Alrosa's own rough diamond production standing at $1.242 billion.
Net profits for the period totaled $298 million.
