Botswana's diamond exports totaled $307.9 million in October 2010, according to data released by the Bank of Botswana.

October's exports represent a 24.4% increase over September 2010 and a 63.7% increase over the corresponding month in 2009. In fact, the country's diamond exports for October are close to the numbers for October 2008 - a peak year for the global diamond trade.

Botswana exported $2.36 billion worth of diamonds in the first 10 months of 2010, making the 2010 average monthly value of diamond exports $236.1 million – nearly twice the average monthly export figures for 2009.
