HK's Foreign Trade Increases In October

HONG Kong's total exports of goods rose by 8.9 percent from a year earlier in October, said its Census and Statistics Department yesterday.
In October, the volume of Hong Kong's re-exports of goods gained by 9.0 percent annually, while that of domestic exports increased by 5.7 percent.
Imports of goods jumped by 6.8 percent year on year. Comparing the first 10 months with a year ago, the volume of Hong Kong's re-exports of goods grew by 20.6 percent, while that of domestic exports added 15.9 percent.
From January to October, the volume of total exports of goods jumped by 20.5 percent while the volume of total imports climbed by 21.2 percent from a year earlier.
