Managing Director of De Beers Botswana Neo Daniel Moroka is listed in stable condition after being attacked by a lion on his farm, Bloomberg reports.
A spokeswoman for the De Beers diamond company, denying reports on the government-owned Botswana Television that director was in critical condition, said that Moroka was recovering.
Botswana's diamond mines are run by Debswana, a joint venture between De Beers and the government. The small African nation is one of the world's major diamond producers, exporting $2.36 billion worth of rough diamonds in the first 10 months of 2010.
