Belfast Black stone is an exquisite black natural stone which has been quarried in South Africa since the 1950's. It is one of the most well known and popular South African granites and used extensively for monuments all over the country.
This is an extremely dense, fine grained natural stone which absorbs very little moisture.
The supply of this natural stone is limited which makes it very expensive.
Interesting Fact is that Belfast black stone is the capital of Mpumalanga and is known as having the purest black granite deposit internationally.
But it's truly famous for excellent fly fishing of trout, black bass, carp, babel and yellow fish.
