This book is a collection of 44 solicited technical papers from researchers and technical experts from seven countries including China, Germany, Spain, Turkey, USA and UK. Organized by the Research Laboratory on Stone Machining at the HuaQio University, China, the collection is assembled to present the state-of-the-art for stone cutting technology. Though the focus is upon stone cutting technologies much of the research on bonds, diamond coatings and wear phenomena applies to ceramic and metal cutting applications as well. Many papers such as the application of diamond saws to civil engineering are excellent sources for the basics on saw design and applications such concrete cutting.
