Slate floor have the durability which is perfect for high traffic areas such as exit and corridor as a floor material. On the other hand, the slate floor is smooth, strong in waterproof performance, so it is also very suitable for kitchen and bathroom. Slate floor has the beautiful apparence, different shapes and colors. If you want change your floor, you can follow the following steps to install a slate floor.
Required things: a hammer, pry bar, brick, 1/4-inch thick backplate, pencil, hand saws, vacuum cleaner, nails, flooring, PuTTY putty knife, sandpaper.
Step 1: use a hammer and pry bars to clean up the mold plates.
Step 2: clear the vestiges of floor materials and cushioning material. If the under - rough floor is concrete crack, when laying slate floor, inspect moisture.
Step three: cutting out box. Slate floor is likely higher than your original floor, consequently, you must cut off the innermost brick of the door to accommodate the new bricks.
