Crude steel output up 10.5% in May

China produced 46.01 million tons of crude steel in May, up 10.5% year-on-year, 43.04 million tons of pig iron, up 8.2% and 75.49 million tons of iron ore, up 28%. The total figure during the first five months stood at 216.11 million tons for crude steel, up 9.4%, 203 million tons for pig iron, up 8.1% and 310.91 million tons for iron ore, up 26%.
