Brink’s diamond and international activities are not affected by bankruptcy filing of Brink’s Belgium, the company said in a statement today.
Brink’s Belgium has filed for bankruptcy in the Brussels court of commerce.
“Brink’s Belgium is a totally separate entity from Brink’s Global Services (BGS), the business unit specialized in international transport of diamonds and foreign currencies and owned by Brink’s Diamonds and Jewelry Services (BDJS).
"BGS is thus absolutely not affected by the fact that Brink’s Belgium has filed for bankruptcy,” Brinks said in a statement.
“BGS is not involved in the conflict reigning the national transport activities at Brink’s Belgium. The business of BGS is operating normally,” it said.
