The 12th China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT2011) sponsored by China Machine Tool & Tool Builders’ Association will be kicked off on April 11 ~ 16, 2011, at the new venue of China International Exhibition Center (CIEC) in Beijing. Up to now, the application for taking part in the exhibition has been concluded successfully.

Based on the area of CIMT2009, which occupied all 8 halls of the new venue of CIEC at Shunyi，Beijing, of 100,000 m2, a hall E5 will be occupied for CIMT2011, and the total exhibition area of which will be up to 120,000 m2. By Sep. 15th, 2010, the area applied by exhibitors from home and abroad is more than 200,000 m2, for which, several tens of independent exhibitors have each applied for an area of 500-3000m2, and the total area of the halls at present can only meet 40% demand. In order to meet the demand from the exhibitors, now the Sponsor is applying the following principle in distributing the exhibition area: half to local, and half to overseas exhibitors, and be open, fair and just in distributing the stands and areas. In view that this is the first new appearance of the world machine tool industry after the financial crisis, all the world's leading machine tool manufacturers will take part in the exhibition, the Sponsor will give priority to the important enterprises and high performance products that are of industry-leading level, with major breakthrough in technology, of high market position among main users, conducive to industrial restructuring, and with significant achievements in industrial development in recent years, so as to fully embody the theme of the Show, “To Welcome the Post-crisis Era with Technical Innovation”, and strive to forge a professional exhibition of special characteristics, good taste and high level.

During the Show, many supporting activities will be held, wherein, programs have been defined clearly for the high-level international forum “To Welcome the Post-crisis Era with Technical Innovation”, international conferences, industry seminars, technical exchange seminars, and reception dinner, etc., and preparations are underway in an orderly and intensive way.

To make it easier for viewers to visit the Show, although the No. 15 subway line has been opened, which can reach directly the new venue of CIEC, the Sponsor will still provide free buses, and the specific plan has been studied.

As for the concrete progress in the preparatory work, the Sponsor will announce that in time through such media as the website of CMTBA, CIMT, the newspaper of "China Machine Tool & Tools", and the periodical "World Manufacturing Engineering & Market" (WMEM).

In addition, the new venue of CIEC has been operating for 2 years, the nearby restaurants, lodging and other conditions have been gradually improved. After CIMT2009, the Sponsor and the CIEC operator have carried out some discussion, hence some facilities of the new venue of CIEC have been rebuilt, and the CIEC operator has committed to improve their service level and quality.
