The third Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair is to take place January 29-31, 2012 in response to requests from buyers and exhibitors to bring the show dates forward. The earlier dates were set in order to take into account show dates of other major international events and to enable more jewelry retailers to fit the Antwerp fair into their travel schedules.



Ari Epstein, CEO of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, which is the main sponsor of the fair, said that with the ADTF's reputation firmly established, the principal objective had become to identify diamond jewelry retailers who had not yet visited Antwerp.



"By bringing retail jewelers and leading jewelry designers to the heart of the diamond district, giving them a great sampling of what Antwerp has to offer. Therefore, we will need to increase our efforts to bring those jewelers - from Europe and beyond - to Antwerp who have not yet visited our centre and therefore not yet fully understood its power and potential," Epstein stated.



The second Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair was held January 30-February 1 in the diamond trading halls of the fair's two co-organizers, the Antwerp Diamond Bourse and the Diamond Club of Antwerp. Some 60 Antwerp diamond companies exhibited a wide variety of diamonds and diamond jewelry to an exclusive group of jewelry manufacturers, designers and retailers who had travelled to the diamond center from all over Europe. Around 300 representatives of about 200 companies participated in this-invitation-only event.
