The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) conducted the 5th International Poster Competition dedicated to colored gemstones during the recent ICA Congress which took place in Panyu, China.
A total of 106 posters from 20 countries, including designs from countries that have not participated in previous years, were exhibited during the congress. The delegates of the congress, which was the largest to date, cast votes for the three best posters submitted to the competition.
The ICA Poster Competition was initiated ten years ago by Yehuda Kassif, IDI jewelry consultant, who remains the coordinator of this international competition. “Graphic designers worldwide are combining gemstones with all the senses that make our life so exciting," said Kassif.
We find gemstones and colorful fruit, gemstones and beautiful landscapes, lavish flowers, rich clothing, wild animals, famous drawings and political issues. The competition has become an expression of the international language that we all use – the language of colored gemstones, diamonds and jewelry,” he added.
The winner of the first prize is the poster designed by Ms. Jain Aakriti of Jaipur, India. The poster that was awarded second place was designed by Ms. Guan Jiawei of Shanghai and the poster designed by Ms. Maria Luisa R. Cruz of Thailand placed third.
The poster designed by Ms. Hulya Coskun of Turkey was granted special recognition.
