The government will gradually increase the proportion of high technology equipment and core component imports to meet demand from key strategic emerging industries.

According to the 12th Five Year Mechanical and Electrical Products Import Promotion Plan published by MOFCOM, NDRC, and MOF, it will also encourage greater imports of high technology products to ease the trade imbalance with major trading partners.
