An Arkansas couple who regularly visit Arkansas' Crater of Diamonds State Park this week discovered a 2.44-carat silver white diamond.
On Sunday, Melissa and Kenny Oliver found the triangular white diamond, which – according to park official Margi Jenks – appears to be flawless.

The weekend happened to be notable for its "super-moon," in which the moon passed closer to Earth than it has for the past 18 years, prompting the Olivers to seek moon-themed names for the stone.
However, "Supermoon Diamond" didn't seem to be a perfect fit, so the couple decided to adopt Jenks' suggestion that they name the rough diamond the "Silver Moon Diamond," which also refers to its silver-white color. The Olivers plan to keep the diamond.
Since the beginning of 2011, visitors to the park have discovered 96 diamonds, and in March alone four diamonds of over one carat have been unearthed.
