The researches and applications of polycrystalline diamond compacts(PDC) at home and abroad were presented.The synthetic method and mechanism of PDC were described.Some analyses and discussions were made of the properties of heat resistance,strength,uniform diffusion of Co,graphitization process of diamond surface and abnormal diamond grain growth.Finally,the development trend of PDC was prospected.
