A Malca Amit armored vehicle travelling from the Brussels airport to Antwerp this morning was the subject of an attempted armed robbery, according to preliminary information.

The armored vehicle left the road it was travelling on in order to escape the attackers, who were said to be in an adjacent vehicle.

No injuries were reported, and the armed robbery attempt failed.

The armored vehicle, which shows signs of bullet damage, is being examined by the local police, according to reports.
