The Application of Pre-Allioyed Powder in Diamond Saw Blade

The performance of the diamond saw-blade matrix is the key factor that affects cutting capability. The performance of the matrix material should be controlled and adjusted through a proper technical method, which have extraordinary signification to stable and advance the quality of the diamond saw-blade. Base on constitute of matrix material, at present it is a course that traditional single metal powder by mixed mechanical is pressed and sintered. Effect factor of single metal powder is more in use. So sintering quality is easy to bad and mechanics performance of the matrix isn"t perfect.. So pre-alloyed powder is brought forward.Matrix ingredient is analyzed and designed through phase diagram. Cu matrix , Ni matrix and Fe matrix ingredient are designed basis on different content of primary element.Pre-alloyed powder is sprayed through water atomization method. Pre-alloyed powder matrix"s properties was analyzed and compared with mechanical mixed matrix in mechanics capability. The hardness was heightened 11%, 8%, 4% and bending strength was heightened 10%, 29%, 10%.Experiment was studied in sintering densification and homogenization to Pre-alloyed powder saw-teeth and mechanics-mixed. In the same sintering condition, hardness, bending strength and density of the matrix increase followed time lasting. Alloy element homogenization and densification of pre-alloyed powder matrix is easier. The state of fracture matrix is studied. Toughness of pre-alloyed powder matrix is higher and evener than mechanics-mixed. SEM showed that element distributing of pre-alloyed powder matrix is symmetrical, but mechanics-mixed powder matrix have phenomenon of conglomeration.Pre-alloyed powder is applied to the saw blades. Saw-teeth"s wear morphology was studied and compared between Pre-alloyed powder saw-teeth and mechanical mixed. Diamond"s pull-out ratio and matrix"s control to diamond was studied. The results show that three saw-blade all can fulfill task. Pre-alloyed powder saw blade"s cutting life and rate is higher than mechanical mixed powder saw blade. In three component pre-alloyed powder saw blade, Cu matrix saw blade"s cutting speed is fastest, Ni matrix is the most slow but cutting life is longest, Fe matrix cutting life is shortest. This research has provided a reference to improve the saw blade"s performance.
