Analysis on the status of cemented carbide industry both at home and abroad in the past years is carried out, based on the following facts, including the sales incomes of Chinese tungsten carbide industry and the famous cemented carbide corporations, such as Sandvik and Kennametal, ranking number 1 and 2 respectively; the worldwide cemented carbide production outputs broken down by region or country; the management status of the famous cemented carbide corporations, such as Sandvik, Kennametal, Plansee and Boart Longeryear; the patent status of cemented carbide industry worldwide. Finally, the suggestion for the development of Chinese cemented carbide industry is proposed.
