With the gradually decreasing of power limited pressure in Henan district in the first quarter, the production of brown fused alumina returned to normal and the output had a dramatic increase. Compared with February, the export of brown fused alumina had increased 130% in March.

Chinese brown fused alumina export was 13.3 million tons which increase by 7.3% in the first quarter of 2011 and March brown fused alumina export was almost 5.3 million tons which have a 12.8% growth. From the data of Chinese brown fused alumina export in the first quarter, the amount of export in the last year had a little increase at the same time.

From three months of brown fused alumina export statistics, January was 5.7 million tons, February 2.3 million tons, March 5.3 million tons, the February brown fused alumina export was at least mainly because first many companies was prepared for The New Year so they were reluctant to receive orders and second at that time the power restriction was still sever which limit the most producing capacity so most companies dare not to receive oversea orders because they may not complete on time.
