Sweden and Hong Kong have shown their keen interest to import black granite from Pakistan, which has reserves of first-rate black granite in the world.

Swedish buyers disclosed their interest to import black granite from Pakistan during a meeting with the officials of Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC) in Expo Pakistan 2008 exhibition last October 30th.

The delegation told PASDEC that Sweden could be a major market of Pakistan's black granite. There is big opportunity of black granite consumption in construction sector in Sweden. They offered their cooperation to PASDEC for uplift of the marble and granite sector of Pakistan especially quarrying, processing, training of work force as well as market research for Pakistan marble and granite products in Scandinavians countries.
