The Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just been given the responsibility, by Deputy Minister Hoang Trung Hai to manage and license the exploitation of granite in the granite mine in Quang Son Commune, Hai Ha District.



Under Public Document No 3175-3176/VPCP-KTN, the Deputy PM requested the province to select a candidate business with competent finance and experience in mining to exploit and process granite, but only on the surface of the mine.



He also instructed that all the products will be sold on the domestic market rather than for exports.



The province was also assigned to coordinate with involved agencies to examine and approve the project.



Apart from drafting feasible projects, candidate investors also have to draw up reports on the environmental impact in and around the exploitation area as well as measures to minimise these effects.
