China’s purchasing managers’ index (PMI) in May was at 52, compared with 52.9 in April, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) said in a statement yesterday.
The index has remained above 50, the benchmark for expansion, for 26 straight months. China’s purchasing managers’ index has been declined for 3 months continuously, the CFLP added.
Analysts said, the purchasing managers’ index for China showed the slowest pace of expansion in nine months; China's economy keeps growing while the speed tends to slow as the aftermath of macro adjustment policy.
