Diamond Wheels Offer Durability

CGW’s diamond wheels are designed to last longer than traditional bonded abrasives, which decreases production times and lowers grinding and cutting cost ratios. The wheel line consists of type 29 depressed-center grinding wheels designed for weld removal, pipe beveling and stock removal on ferrous and nonferrous metals; type 1 notching/grinding wheels designed for foundry gate/riser removal, sectional tubing and hard-face metal alloys; and 16" to 20" combination cutting wheels for chop saws, stationary saws, gas saws and rail cutting machines, used for rail track, ductile iron and carbon/mild-steel applications.
Because they do not wear down like traditional abrasives, the wheels produce fewer sparks, virtually no odor and less material debris. Solid-steel construction does not fracture during use like resin-bonded wheels, the company says.
