Taipei, June 15, 2011 (CENS)--Fair Friend Group, Taiwan`s leading manufacturer of machine tools, has aimed to become the world`s No. 1 producer in this field in 2018, when the group will see annual sales reach over US$3.5 billion.
To reach that goal, the group has mapped out four big strategies, including boosting market operating network, expanding manufacturing factories, making complete range of machine tools, and developing brand globally.
Jimmy Chu, Fair Friend chairman, said his group currently has 24 production bases worldwide, including those in Taiwan, mainland China, Japan, Italy and the U.S. In the near future, the group will increasingly set up production bases in Germany, Spain, Turkey, India, South Korea, Brazil, Vietnam and Russia. The group aims to boost the number of production bases to more than 40 worldwide by 2018.
In respect of the establishment of market operating network, the group will soon set up such direct-operating services centers in India, Germany, Japan, Italy and the U.S. to boost its global operating capacities.
At present, Fair Friend is China`s largest producer of full-functional CNC (computerized numerically controlled) machine tools. The group will see the number of service outposts in China reach 200 by the end of 2018, with each capable of launching turnkey services.
Fair Friend said it has a complete range of CNC machine tools, including machining centers, milling machines, double-column machining centers, grinding machines, and drilling machines. In the foreseeable future, the group will add some new models to its product lines, including large-sized vertical boring machines, lathes, wire-cut machines, pressing machines and plastics processing machines.
In this way, the group will become one of the world`s few manufacturers focusing on plastics processing, metal-cutting and special-purpose machines by 2018.
Another major strategy for the group is to engage in production of equipment for electronics manufacturing industry to roll out touch panels, TFT-LCD (thin film transistor-liquid crystal display) flat panels, solar-energy products, LEDs (light emitting diodes), ICs (integrated circuits) and aerospace parts.
