India's Dharmanandan Diamonds has ordered 10 Quazer II laser diamond cutting systems and three Strategist cutting and planning systems from Israel's Sarin Technologies, a leading developer of advanced technology for the diamond industry.

Dharmanandan Diamonds Managing Director Hitesh Patel said that his firm's tests of the various technologies available had shown that Sarin's Quazer II, paired with the Strategist, provided the best results in terms of minimal damage to the rough diamond; minimal weight loss during cutting; and optimal cut.

Sarin CEO Uzi Levami stressed the "seamless connectivity" of his company's diamond mapping, planning, and sawing technologies and said Sarin was "honored" to have been chosen by Dharmanandan Diamonds as a supplier of choice.
