Stellar Diamonds' Droujba kimberlite extends below 388 meters, the diamond mining company reports.
The Droujba kimberlite, located in eastern Guinea, has a surface area of three kilometers. The company plans to double its exploratory drilling program at Droujba and begin a bulk sampling project once the necessary processing plant is moved to the Droujba site from its current location at the Bomboko diamond project.
Four hundred kilograms of drill core from Droujba sent for analysis have already turned out to contain 952 diamonds. CEO Karl Smithson said the company hoped to have an estimate of the project's diamond resources by Q1 2012.
