CHINA'S Ministry of Commerce yesterday announced it will reexamine lifting anti-dumping measures on epichlorohydrin imported from four countries.

The ministry will evaluate the possibilities of dumping and damages if the measures are lifted, the ministry said in a statement on its website.

The ministry imposed five-year anti-dumping duties of up to 71.5 percent on epichlorohydrin from Russia, South Korea, Japan and the United States in June 2006, after finding the imports hurt the domestic sector.

The chemical is widely used in medicine, organic solvents and plastic manufacturing.
