The U.S. International Trade Commission has made its determinations in its five-year (sunset) reviews concerning Stainless Steel Sheet and Strip from Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, and Taiwan. The Commission made affirmative determinations with respect to Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. It made negative determinations with respect to Germany, Italy, and Mexico.

In response, David A. Hartquist of Kelley Drye & Warren, counsel to petitioners AK Steel, Allegheny Technologies Incorporated and North American Stainless, said, "The domestic industry is pleased that the antidumping orders against Japan, Korea and Taiwan will continue for another five years. We are disappointed that the ITC voted to end the orders against Germany, Italy and Mexico. We will examine the written decisions of the individual commissioners when the opinions are issued to determine whether to appeal the negative decisions to the Court of International Trade."
