World Federation of Diamond Bourses President Avi Paz sent his condolences on behalf of the WFDB to Anoop Mehta, the president of the Bharat Diamond Bourse, following the bombings in Mumbai last week. Several diamond brokers were killed in the attacks, one of which hit a central diamond trading area between Panchratna and Prashad Chambers.



"We were shocked to hear about the terrorist bombing attacks that hit Mumbai yesterday that claimed the lives of so many innocent people, some of them members of the diamond business community in Mumbai," Paz wrote. "On behalf of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses and its affiliated member bourses, I extend our organization's sincere condolences to the families of the victims and send our best wishes for speedy recovery to the wounded."



Paz offered any assistance he could to Mehta and the BDB.
