Diamond Precision Products, a machine component manufacturer based in Johnson Creek, plans to open a second location in Milwaukee in August.
The company will be hiring up to 40 employees Wednesday at a job fair to be held at its new leased facility, 1000 Heather Ave. The fair, which will include interviews and tours of the building, will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Diamond is expanding because its current facility cannot handle several large orders that are expected to begin production in August and get to full capacity in October, said president Brian Weiss.
“It’s contract machining, so it’s not like it’s a big project and once you’re done it’s over,” he said. “These are ongoing parts that we’ll be producing for the foreseeable future.”
Between 30 and 40 employees will be hired immediately, with another 100 jobs to be added in the next three years, Weiss said. The new hires will more than double the company’s size.
“We’re hoping to find people with a minimum of a year or two of machining experience up to 25 to 30 years,” he said. “There’s a very wide range of jobs were going to need.”
