According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in July this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 78.2% decreasing by 1.6 percentage points compared to July 2010 and down from 79.7% in June this year. This is the first MoM fall in the capacity utilization rate in 4 months.

Meanwhile, in July the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment rose by 2.6 percentage points YoY reaching 72% down from 72.5% recorded in June this year.

Capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry on the other hand came to 75.4% down from 76.7% in June this year and up from 74.4% in July 2010.
