The annual JA New York Summer show ended with good reviews from diamond industry exhibitors, who reported pleasing sales results. "Retailers here are buying," said Brian Fleming, senior vice president at the Carla Corporation and a member of the JA New York show committee. "They're looking for a more price-pointed product, but they're looking to restock their cases. It's a take to inventory that I haven't seen in the past few years."
The show included a number of the same pavilions that it has had in previous years, including the high-end Inner Circle pavilion, the international pavilion, the new product gallery and the Diamond Dealers Club, National Jeweler reported.
A number of industry award dinners were held during the week of the show, including the New York State Jewelers Association awards dinner, the American Gem Society's Circle of Distinction, and the Women's Jewelry Association dinner and silent auction.
Special Delivery, the JA's next show, will take place October 23-25 in New York.
