Thorpe Corporation announced that its subsidiary, Thorpe-Sunbelt, Inc., has completed the acquisition of Houston-based Blagrave & Duffey, Inc. ("B&D"), a leading designer, fabricator and installer of refractory and mechanical products for the industrial steel processing and metal forming/heat-treating industries.

Thorpe Corporation’s CEO Richard Nowland said, “The acquisition of B&D expands Thorpe's steel fabrication and mechanical capabilities and provides B&D with enhanced project support and additional resources for growth. Dennis Blagrave and his employees at B&D have a long history of service and are an important addition to the Thorpe team,” he added. “We are very excited to have our new colleagues on board and the new business development opportunities that this acquisition presents.”
