Israeli fine jewelry designer Yossi Harari was awarded top honors in the "Haut Couture" category at the Las Vegas 2009 Couture awards show last week.
The winning design was for a ring named "The Wild Rose," which is made of 24-carat gold, and a "gilver" compound that combines 25% gold and 75% silver.
The 120 carat gem ring includes a large 97.25 carat fire opal, and is set with emeralds, sapphires, and cognac diamonds.
Harari was nominated for the prize during the past four years, and has won the "Haut Couture" category Couture Town & Country Design Awards in 2007 for a necklace named "Helen".
