Despite the global financial crisis, export and trade of diamonds at the Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE) grew slightly in the first quarter of 2009.



According to figures released by the Diamonds Administration of China (DAC), China’s diamond imports reached $444 million between January and April 2009, reflecting an increase of 2.3% compared to the same period last year.
