For more than 100 years, it has been widely used in fields such as machinery, chemical, light textile, papermaking, mine, traffic, metallurgy, electron, building materials, ceramic, and nuclear energy. The main pusher behind the explosive growth in recent years is from the demand of photovoltaic industry, LED, and the ceramic process industry. The main regions for producing silicon carbide in China are eight provinces, Jilin, Henan, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia, Sichuan, Guizhou, and Hubei.
