Robbins Brothers Kicks Off Summer Fun with Diamond Dig

Robbins Brothers is holding a diamond dig, in conjunction with the Orange County Flyers baseball team, after a doubleheader game July 5, 2009. Once the game concludes at Cal State Fullerton's Goodwin Field, registered contestants will dig for 10 Robbins Brothers lighted ring boxes buried somewhere between first and third bases. The boxes will contain gift certificates, diamond pendants and earrings. But one box will feature the grand prize — a 0.5-carat solitaire ring.
Robbins Brothers, which recently emerged from bankruptcy reorganization, is running this promotion through its southern California stores. Contestants wishing to "dig" must come and sign up at one of four Robbins Brothers locations — Fullerton, Mission Viejo, Riverside or Montclair — between June 11 and June 29, 2009. Registrants will be given a complimentary ticket to the game. While signing up, customers will also have the opportunity to create a personalized "wish list" with the store containing their favorite diamond ring and jewelry designs.
"Our Diamond Dig is shaping up to be a fantastic event," said Dan MacLeith, chief operating officer (COO) for the Orange County Flyers. "Teaming up with Robbins Brothers was a natural. I have personally shopped there and have been impressed with the quality of their products, services and staff. Diane Ferraro, director of advertising for Robbins Brothers, added, "The Orange County Flyers is such a respected team in our community and we're excited to engage in this type of event, which promotes great summer fun and camaraderie."
