Turkish crude steel production in August rose by 7.8 percent on the year

According to the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers Association, crude steel production in August rose by 7.8 percent on the year, but a 1.2 percent decrease was recorded on month to month basis, reported Steelorbis.
Between January and August 2010 Turkey's crude steel output was 18.5 million mt. This between the same months crude steel out put was recorded at 22.1 million mt, thus a 19 percent increase was recorded, reported Steelorbis.
