The value of Belgium's rough diamond imports continued sliding in September, as prices in the market keep declining. From the $1.42 billion imported in June, imports shrank to $1.03 billion last month, based on data released by the AWDC.
Year-over-year, imports increased 61.3 percent, however that mainly reflects long-term rough diamond price changes.
Exports of $1.06 billion are a 27 percent increase from last year.
Net trade in September totaled $32.4 million.
