Israel Q3 Polished Trade Shoots Up 35%

Israel's net polished diamond exports totaled 5.833 billion in the third quarter, rising 37.1 percent year-over-year, according to official figures released today (Monday).
Polished diamond imports in the July-September period increased by 35 percent, reaching $4.172 billion according to figures released by the Ministry of Industry, trade and Labor.
Israel is an important global diamond-trading center, for both polished and rough. After years of reporting full monthly trade figures, Israel providing only broad figures since the 2008 global financial crash.
The ministry did not provide figures about the volume of trade.
