EGL Asia Enters Diamond Grading Agreement with China's 21Gem.com

At the Hong Kong Jewelry and Watch Fair, EGL Asia, the only EGL diamond laboratory operating independently in Asia, and 21Gem.com, one of China's leading online gem and jewelry sales websites, have announced the signing of an agreement that positions EGL Asia as the exclusive diamond grader and provider of certificates for loose diamonds and set jewelry diamonds sold on the 21gem.com web site.
21Gem.com plays a leading role in China's online diamond and jewelry retail sector, selling either directly to customers or by designated stores. Meanwhile, EGL Asia is one of the best-known gemological laboratories in Hong Kong, and provides a fast and high-quality service throughout the region.
Mark Gao, CEO of 21Gem.com said, "We have tested EGL Asia's grading standards time and again at the State Center of Supervision and Inspection on Quality of Gold and Silver Products (NGGC) and are very happy with the results. We found their standard of service highly satisfactory for our customers."
Kuzi noted that the agreement between 21Gem.com and his lab was an important development. "Naturally, we are very happy with this collaborative agreement. Of course, we will continue to do our utmost to provide our high quality services to the benefit of the 21Gem.com customers."
China is the world's third biggest consumer of luxury good in terms of sales volume. Jewelry has been placed third after housing and automobiles in the luxury market.
